GREENFIELDS Medical Chambers Privacy Policy.

Outlining our commitment and compliance to General Data Protection Regulations.

Annual data audit

GMC will undertake an annual data audit, looking at areas where data is stored in the organisation, how it is kept and protected. The audit will determine if keeping the data is necessary and if processing can be carried out in a different way.

Data Processors

We will work with our data processors to make sure that data is kept in a secure way and that all processing is necessary.  This will be outlined in our data processors privacy policies on their website www.impaxsystems.co.uk.

You have the following data protection rights:

  1. You can edit your personal details via your settings page whenever you wish.  We maintain a procedure in order to help you confirm that your personal information remains correct and up-to-date.
  2. You can object to processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information or request portability of your personal information. Again, you can exercise these rights by contacting us using the contact details provided under the Yorkshire Medical Chambers website.
  3. If you have any privacy-related questions or unresolved problems, you may contact us using the information provided on the website.
  4. You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.  For more information, please contact your local data protection authority.

Lawful basis for processing your information

We will normally collect personal information from you only:

  1. Where we need the personal information to perform a contract with you.
  2. Where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights.

Data Retention

We retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
